Katy Perry is proud to be a guest performer at the coronation of King Charles

Katy Perry did the right thing when spreading "love and light" to the audience when performing at the stage of King Charles' coronation ceremony which was successfully held on May 6.

Recently in an interview with Access Hollywood, Katy Perry mentioned that she was the representative guest to perform at the coronation of King Charles. Besides, she also revealed that those successful performances were partly due to her skillful selection of performance songs.

Katy Perry previously shared: "I am very grateful to have this opportunity and I have been thinking about songs that I can sing for the special occasion to support the British Royal Family."

And if you follow Katy Perru, you will know that the director of American Idol has long been an ambassador for The British Asian Trust charity organization co-founded by King Charles since 2020. That's why she accepted to participate. Entering this performance is also not surprising news for the fans. 

"I will go to the coronation as a hero and spread love and light," Katy continued, "That's all I want to bring."

In addition to Katy Perry, the concert at King Charles' coronation ceremony also had the participation of music legends Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, British group Take That, Bryn Terfel...

And the coronation ceremony of King Charles and Queen Camilla was successfully held at Westminster Abbey (London, England) on May 6. Meanwhile, the coronation concert will take place a day later, ie 7/5.
